A Football and Baseball Player growing up excelling in both sports, Ostberg attended Williston and chose the path of Baseball. A Two Time Prep Player of the Year, Ostberg went to the University Of Hartford under head coach Justin Blood as the 56th Ranked catcher across the US according to PG/Baseball America. Excelled at Hartford from 2015-2017 as a Catcher/DH. Played for the Nashua Silver Knights and Valley Blue Sox and Named All Star both summers, before Inking Cape Contract with Bourne Braves before the 2017 Draft.

Led the nation in batting average, slugging (.860) and On-Base Plus Slugging (1.456) before suffering a season-ending knee injury midway through his junior campaign.
Played with The Tampa Bay Rays 2017 to the present. A 2018 New York Penn League All Star with Hudson Valley. Spent 2020 Covid Hiatus playing in the Frontier League winning a batting title at .381. Spent 2022 with the Montgomery Biscuits, AA affiliate with Tampa.
Erik has been a full time hitting/catching instructor since 2017.
